Free · Built for Windows developers

Tame your AI coding agents.

You’ve got coding agents running in half a dozen windows and no idea which one stalled, finished, or is waiting on an answer. DevThrottle puts every agent on one board and pings you the second one needs you — from your desk or your phone. It installs like a normal Windows app. No terminal. No setup maze.

DevThrottle isn’t an agent. It’s the control room for the ones you already run.

Keep using Claude Code, Codex, or whatever command-line agent you like. DevThrottle lines them all up on one board — across every tool — so you can see what each one is doing at a glance, and answer them by voice. You bring the agents and their subscriptions. We never charge you for AI tokens.

Your agents do not stop working when you stand up. Why do you?

6x

"Six windows open. Which one needs me?"

One board shows every agent's state at a glance - working, done, or waiting on you. No more clicking through windows to find the one that stalled forty minutes ago.

40m

"It asked a question 40 minutes ago."

Agents that need you are flagged the moment they stop. Answer from the Cockpit in any browser - or straight from your phone - and keep every agent moving.

0km

"I'm in the car. On a walk. At lunch."

Talk to your agents. Literally. Voice mode reads you what is happening and delivers your answers - your agents keep shipping while you live your life.

Everything runs on YOUR machines. We host nothing of yours.

Five pieces, one product, one setup wizard. Your code, your repos, and your agents never leave your hardware.

Voice

Talk to your agents. Voice mode reads you what each one is doing and types your answers back - with a dictionary that learns your words.

Works with the coding agents you already use - Claude Code, Codex, Aider, and more. Voice is powered by AI: use your own key, or let us handle it on a paid plan so you never think about API keys.

Talk to your agents.

Hands on the keyboard, in the car, or on a walk — just say it. Voice mode reads you what each agent is doing and types your answers straight back. No more stopping what you’re doing to babysit a prompt.

Custom dictionary

It learns your words.

Your project names, your libraries, your jargon — build up a custom dictionary so transcription gets them right every time. It syncs across all your computers, and you just keep adding to it.

Every machine

Set it up once.

The dictionary follows you — desktop, laptop, the machine in the other room. Teach it once and every device talks your language.

How DevThrottle compares

DevThrottle isn’t a different agent — it’s the layer that runs the ones you already use. This compares the usual ways to keep up with a whole fleet of them.

From the founder
“We didn’t build DevThrottle to sell it — we built it because we needed it. Center Consulting runs real client work across a dozen coding agents every day, and we kept losing track of which one needed us. Now every agent is on one board and we answer them by voice, from anywhere. It’s the first thing we open and the last thing we close.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Is DevThrottle an AI agent?

No. DevThrottle does not write code and is not an agent - it is the control room for the agents you already run. It lines up Claude Code, Codex, and your other tools on one board so you can see what each is doing at a glance and answer them by voice. You bring the agents and their subscriptions; we never charge you for AI tokens.

Is it really free? What is the catch?

The app is free forever, and your code never leaves your computer. We host nothing of yours, so it costs us nothing when you use it. Paid plans only cover things that cost us money - unlimited hosted transcription and support. The free version is not a trial and never expires.

Which coding agents does it work with?

It works with the AI coding agents you already use - Claude Code, Codex, Aider, and others - across different tools at the same time. You keep your existing agent and subscription; DevThrottle just runs and watches them all for you, so one board shows what every agent is doing.

Can I really talk to my agents?

Yes - that is one of the best parts. Voice mode reads you what an agent is doing and types your answers back, so you can keep things moving from the car or a walk. It even learns a custom dictionary of your project names and jargon, and that dictionary syncs across all your machines. On the free plan you bring your own AI key; the $15 plan gives you unlimited transcription on our key, with no setup.

Where does my code live? What do you see?

Everything runs on your own computer - your code, your agents, all of it. When you check in from your phone or another browser, it connects straight to your machine, not through our servers. The only thing we ever touch is the optional voice AI, and even then we only pass along voice - never your code.

Who is behind DevThrottle?

Center Consulting, a Toronto-based AI consultancy. Founder Soren Frederiksen has 38 years in technology and two exits, and DevThrottle is the tool Center Consulting uses all day, every day, to ship client work.
