The signature
The figure is the hero. A flat, saturated field (magenta) holds a near-black panel that stands on the field's bottom edge, and the chart lives in the panel, white on dark. Underneath sits a lowercase caption in a heavy, soft, tightly tracked serif. Everything else is plain: a grey grotesque, small typewriter capitals for meta, and black rules.
