Is DevThrottle an AI agent?

No. DevThrottle does not write code and is not an agent - it is the control room for the agents you already run. It lines up Claude Code, Codex, and your other tools on one board so you can see what each is doing at a glance and answer them by voice. You bring the agents and their subscriptions, and running them through DevThrottle costs nothing.

The app is free and open source (MIT) - not a trial, and it never expires. Paid plans are optional and only pay for what we run for you: Pro ($29/mo founding price) is a hosted gateway, dictation, and the wingman brain - all included, with nothing metered on top. You never pay for the app you run yourself.

Which coding agents does it work with?

It works with the AI coding agents you already use - Claude Code, Codex, Aider, Gemini, and others - across different tools at the same time. You keep your existing agent and subscription; DevThrottle runs and watches them all on one board.

DevThrottle is made and operated by Center Consulting ("we", "us"). These terms cover your DevThrottle account and the services we run for you. By creating an account or using the hosted service you agree to them.

The app is open source; these terms are about the service

The DevThrottle application is free software under the MIT license. The license, not these terms, governs your use of the software itself: you can run it, read it, and change it on your own machines without an account and without paying anyone. These terms apply to the things we operate for you: your account on devthrottle.com, the hosted gateway, hosted AI (dictation, the wingman, and the DevThrottle API), and billing.

Your account

You need a working email address to create an account, and the account is for you — one person per account.
You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password, API keys, and device credentials secret. API keys are shown exactly once, at creation; we store only a hash and cannot show a key again. If a credential leaks, revoke it in your account.
Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Subscriptions

Pro is a monthly subscription. The price you see when you subscribe is the price you pay; a founding price stays locked for as long as you stay subscribed, and we never raise the list price on an existing member.
Every new account starts with 14 days of Pro. The trial takes no card and converts to nothing on its own — when it ends, you either subscribe or keep using the free app on your own machines.
You can cancel any time; the subscription runs to the end of the period you paid for and does not renew.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not hold your card details.

Prepaid credits

Credits are a separate, prepaid balance that pays for hosted AI you call yourself, such as the DevThrottle API. Nothing about credits recurs: you top up when you choose (minimum $5), and the balance draws down as you use the services, at the published rates.
If a charge looks wrong, contact us through the channel below and we will look at the ledger with you — every request is metered and attributable.

Acceptable use

Use the service lawfully, and only against machines and accounts you are authorized to use.
Do not probe, bypass, or interfere with the service's isolation between accounts, its rate limits, or its metering.
Do not resell the hosted service as your own without an agreement with us.

Your content

What your agents and you produce is yours. Content the service handles for you (prompts, agent replies, dictation, and similar) is processed and stored as described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms. We use it to run the service for you, not to build advertising profiles, and you can export or delete it as the Privacy Policy describes.

Service changes and availability

We work to keep the hosted service up, and we publish what it does honestly — but it is provided "as is", without a formal availability guarantee at this stage. We may change or discontinue hosted features; if we discontinue something you pay for, we tell you and do not charge you for what we no longer provide. The open source app keeps working on your machines regardless.

Liability

To the maximum extent the law allows: we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for claims arising from the paid service is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Ending things

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms; if we do, we tell you why. Your data is handled on deletion as the Privacy Policy describes.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms in a way that matters, we post the change here with a new date and, for significant changes, tell account holders by email before the change takes effect.
